What's that startup worth?

YouNoodle just launched a 'Startup Predictor'. Answer a bunch of questions, and it will help you determine what the startup will be worth in 3 years. Should you take that project with that new client...?

Entitled, Budgeting Your Projects, this article focuses on some of the key ideas, concepts and issues freelancers and contractors will face when managing the financial side of the business.

This ain't your granddaddy's Acrobat

So, Adobe has recently unveiled the new Acrobat.com (beta). It's a pretty neat service, that has:

- Buzzword (web-based, collaborative word-processing)
- ConnectNow (ad-hoc web-meetings with Acrobat Connect Pro)
- CreatePDF (free, PDF conversion system)
- Share (like a drop-box for larger files for team collaboration, etc)
- My Files (a place to keep 'your' files -- the most boring feature of the bunch Smiling

ImaginationLand uncut

A friend of mine worked on Direct Daniella for Taco Bell and is now up for an award in the FlashForward Festival. I checked it out -- and it's a pretty neat app. You get to pick the scene and locale of a photo-shoot for this model.

No July LAFU Meeting

I hope you all are enjoying your summers, and I look forward to seeing each and everyone one of your cherubic faces at our next meeting on August 20th.

RMI Online Workshops

Howdy World:

I'm offering my Practical AS3 online workshop again tomorrow, Saturday 6/28. I'm posting about it here because the RMI online workshops are still pretty new, and a lot of people might not know about them or what they really are.

Sample Papervision3D URLs

At Almer/Blank, we've had to compile a list of sample Papervision3D Flash sites in order to explain the technology, illustrate the performance, and provide ideas of the variety of creations that PV3D make possible. On the assumption that other developers and agencies often need the same thing, I'm posting the list here.
